PokéPark KANTO sells three passes: the Ace Trainer’s Pass, the Trainer’s Pass and the Town Pass. All three include entry to Yomiuriland, the amusement park it sits in. The real difference is the Pokémon Forest. The Town Pass doesn’t include it. The Trainer’s Pass lets you in once, in a set time slot. The Ace Trainer’s Pass lets you go in whenever you like and come back. Prices change by date. As of October 2026, the official Japanese ticket page lists adult prices from ¥4,700 (Town), ¥7,900 (Trainer’s) and ¥14,000 (Ace Trainer’s).

If you live outside Japan, you buy on the park’s English ticket store. The official FAQ says there is no ticket office at Yomiuriland or PokéPark KANTO, so you can’t just turn up and buy a ticket.

The three passes side by side

This is based on the official comparison table (as of October 2026). In Japanese, Sedge Town is カヤツリタウン (Kayatsuri Town) and the Pokémon Forest is ポケモンフォレスト.

“Re-entry” means coming back on the same day. Staff at the exit will explain what to show: a wristband, a hand stamp and your ticket code.

Prices (from the official Japanese ticket page)

Prices vary by visit date. The official Japanese page gives the starting price for each pass. Higher prices apply on busier days, and the park calendar shows each day’s price.

  • Under 3: free in Sedge Town without a ticket.
  • Age: use the visitor’s age on the day of the visit, not the day you buy.
  • Disabilities: bring an official certificate. One companion aged 13 or older can buy a ticket at the same price.
  • Overseas ticket store: it shows prices in its own date calendar. We could not check that calendar’s prices from outside the booking flow. Compare with the table above before you pay.

There are no annual passes and no group tickets (official FAQ).

Which pass should you buy?

Trainer’s Pass is the right pass for most visitors. The Pokémon Forest is what makes PokéPark KANTO different from a Pokémon Center store, and the official site says the walk takes about an hour. One timed visit is enough to see it. After that you have the rest of the day in Sedge Town.

Ace Trainer’s Pass costs nearly twice as much. It is worth it if these matter to you:

  • going into the Forest more than once, or at a time that suits you
  • a guaranteed seat at the Sedge Gym show instead of a lottery
  • the Pikachu and Eevee meet-and-greet in Sedge Condominiums, with a free framed photo
  • priority lanes on the two rides (one use each, until 30 minutes before closing)

One catch: Ace Trainer’s Passes can’t be grouped or shared in the app. If your group mixes Ace and Trainer’s Passes, you can’t apply for show seats together.

Town Pass is for people who can’t or don’t want to enter the Forest. That includes children under 5, anyone who can’t climb a 110-step staircase, and pregnant visitors. It is also a cheaper option for a parent who stays with a toddler. See PokéPark KANTO with kids under 5.

The Pokémon Forest rules to check before you buy

The official ticket page lists these Forest entry restrictions:

  • Visitors must be 5 or older on the day. Children under 5 can’t enter, even if carried or in a stroller, and their guardians can’t take them in.
  • You must be able to go up and down a 110-step staircase by yourself. It has handrails.
  • You can’t enter if you have been drinking, if you are pregnant, or if you have a condition such as heart disease that the walk could make worse.
  • A stairlift helps wheelchair users into the gentler first part of the course. Talk to the reception staff.

If anyone in your group is affected, buy them a Town Pass. A Trainer’s Pass won’t let them in.

How to buy from outside Japan

  1. Go to the Official Web Ticket Store. It is in English and is for people who live outside Japan.
  2. Pick your date and pass. Trainer’s Pass holders also pick a Pokémon Forest time slot.
  3. Pay by credit card. The official FAQ says tickets can only be bought by card.
  4. On the day, show your ticket code at the gate. The official app can display it, and the app is where you apply for show seats and shop entry times.

The Japanese official website is for residents of Japan. It needs a Japanese mobile number for SMS verification. It sells tickets by lottery three months ahead (apply from the 1st to the 12th of each month) and first-come, first-served from 19:00 on the same date two months ahead.

Book on the PokéPark KANTO Official Web Ticket Store.

From November 2026 admissions, overseas buyers must bring their original passport. A copy is not accepted. JTRweb Ltd. checks identity at the PokéPark KANTO entrance. The park says it may also check ID through October, so carry your passport now too.

Cancellations and changes

You can’t change a ticket’s date, type or time slot after buying. Residents who bought on the Japanese site can cancel up to 18:00 (Japan time) the day before. If you bought on the overseas store, check that store’s own terms before you pay.
